E-mail general enquiries to our Membership Secretary, Nick.

Chairman

We welcome back Richard Moore-Coulson.

Captain

Our Captain from April 2022 is Graham Barnes and his chosen charity for 2023 is Nottingham University's Dementia Research Project. Download a leaflet about the project here.

Covid-19

Covid-19 played havoc with our Summer 2020 and Winter 2020/21 fixtures - with our managing only 3 outings in total - inbetween lockdowns - and being very restricted on the important social aspect of our Society Golf. 2021 was much kinder to us and we managed most of our normal Summer and Winter activities. 2022 was "back to normal".

Rules of Golf Changes

The R&A and the USGA unveiled new Rules of Golf, implemented on 1 January 2019. Follow this link for more details. There are many significant changes, summarised here.

World Handicap System

England Golf have worked closely with The USGA and The R&A to help introduce the new single World Handicap System for the sport. Together with golf’s handicapping authorities they developed a universal system which applies all over the world.

The WHS system was introduced on 2nd November 2020

Annual Dinner 2022

Our annual dinner was held at Shirland Golf Club on 20th October. An excellent evening with our guest speaker, Carol Dunphy from the Tiny Tim Trust (our Captain's Charity for 2022). Our Annual Dinner for 2023 will be at the same venue on Thursday 18th October.
