Handicapping

England Golf worked closely with The USGA and The R&A to help introduce the new single World Handicap System for the sport. Together with golf’s handicapping authorities they developed a universal system which applies all over the world, introduced on 2nd November 2020. You may also like to check out the R&A website for any details around the WHS by using this link :  https://www.randa.org/WorldHandicapSystem

The WHS system was introduced on 2nd November 2020.

For those society members and guests who have a recognised EGU Handicap Index, this will be used to calculate playing handicap in all society events. For those who don't have an H.I., we assign a Society Handicap which is reviewed on a regular basis.
